Blog # 8 Lotte world & Everland

  There are two popular amusement park in Korea. One is the Ever land in Yong-In. Another one is Lotte world in Seoul.

 

  When students go to picnic, they used to go to amusement park. So did I. They are very interesting. They have a lot of rides at the amusement parks. And There are seasonal themes. For example, in spring, the Ever land starts the rose festival. The Lotte world starts the Masquerade festival. Also, Transportation is very convenient to go there. Lotte world is in Seoul. There are a lot of method to go Lotte world. I usually take a subway. On the other hand, Ever land is not in Seoul. But there are a lot of Bus to go Everland anywhere.

 

  They have many same things. But they also have different things. the most different thing is following things. Lotte world is indoor amusement park. and there is also small outdoor park. So if it rains, indoor amusement park is only operated. There are a lot of couples because Lotte world has atmosphere that is like abroad country. On the other hand, Ever land is only outdoor amusement park. Scale is the biggest in Korea. And there are beautiful parks everywhere in the Ever land. There are always flowers, trees and animals. so family customers like to go Ever land.

when I was 23years old, I have been to Ha'erbin , China for traveling. Harbin is on the northeast side. Harbin is very close to the Russia. So in the winter is very cold. I really enjoyed chinese culture. there are different things between haerbin and seoul.

 

First, haerbin's food is usually spicy and salty because of weather. To stay warm, they enjoy eating soup like Kimchi soup. but the food is spicy a lot. in Seoul, even though we enjoy eating spicy and salty food, the food is blander than any other city.

 

second, there is no special nightlife in haerbin. Harbin people usually spend time with family at night. So most of shops close doors early. many shops in Korea open around the clock. it's similar day and night.

 

two cities have many attractions. I like two cities.

   I'm taliking about punishment. In korea, when students make a mistake , they receive punishment .esppecially corporal punishment. Some students disagree punishment. they think that person can make a mistake.  And they also think that corporal punishment is not democracy.

  I understand their thinking. I was also student. When i was middle, high school student, i also thank that. at the time, i hated my teacher. I can't understand my teacher. But now because of that time, i could grow up properly. in school, there are  lot of students. most are students. There's only a few teachers. but students don't grow up yet. So they need controller. controller is teacher. It's very difficult to control so many students.  So teachers use punishment. if there is no punishment, students ignore teachers easily. teachers know that students don like to receive punishment. teachers also don't like punishment. But they give student punishment for a bright future.    

  Many schools have prohibitted corporal punishment now. so many students don't listen to teacher. 
I think the proper punishment is necessary in order to control students.

  when I was student, I received punishment a lot. if I am wrong, I have to receive punishment. last month I read a article. after one middle school student receive punishment, he accused his teacher. in order to get evidence, his friends took pictures while he receive punishment. his teacher just clubbed his palm. now teachers cannot do anything.

 

  a punishment ,especially corporal punishment, is one of the method controlling student. Students say that human rights be respected. if teacher clubed hit student's palm, his friend takes pictures. and then the pictures are sent to police station or a pressman. a lot of people who saw the pictures think that teacher is bad . after all students ignore teachers. teachers cannot control students anymore. in addition students break with cultures of korea. they insist a free hair style. they even don't want school uniform. I can understand them. I was also student. but if students ignore school's rules, Means of the school will be lost. also, if there is no punishment, teachers cannot control them well. The number of teachers in comparison with the number of students is small numbers.

blog #4 short story.

 When I was highschool student, I lived with my sister. My parents lived in the countryside. I studied at school until 23;00.

  When I come back home, I come home with my friends. one day, I was coming home alone. The road was dark. but I didn't care. because I was familiar with the road. At the time I felt a person who follow behind me. I thought he is just pedestrian. But he didn't pass by me although I was slow. I was scared. because I was student, I didn't have cellphone. I couldn't call anyone. I decided to run into my home. At the moment, he who I had mistaken him as a badman suddenly hugged me. I was surprised. I couldn't shout. he told me "my son !" he was my father.

  If he was not my father, I would fight him. my father sometimes suprises me. I know he is my father.

The Jiri Mountain.

  I like beach more than mountain. But thesedays I fell that mountain is beautiful. So I decided to clime to Jiri mountain with my friend. I heard that Jiri mountain is the highest in south Korea. So I really wanted to go to there more.

  First, we did warm-up under the mountain. There was no people except us. So the entrance was quiet and peaceful. After warm-up, we started climbing mountain. Because mountain is very steep, we easy to be feel tired. But the scenery was nice. It gave me energy. we can see small cute birds , tall trees and clean valley. When I feel tired, I took a deep breath. The air was really fresh. Actually we climbed late. So at that time a lot of people climbed down the mountain. I knew that if I run into people , say hello. It's a manner of mountain. I wanted to do that. I saw people who climbed down the mountain. I said hello valorously. They also said hello friendly. I feel better. because of this, more people are climbing. our purpose was to get to the top of a mountain. We are close to reaching our destination. but it rained suddenly. I fell into despair. all people gave up to climbing the mountain. But I really wanted to be there. but because of security, I had to climb down the mountain. I hated sky so much. We climbed down the mountain weakly.

  Although we couldn't get to the top of the mountain, it was a valuable experience. So I will try to climb the Jiri mountain again.
